Using their bodies as tools the 24 performers storm into the space offering their presence, their dance and their connection with each other in order to share their passion for dance with the audience. In a constantly transforming environment the dancers improvise their way through the predefined structure. Each dancer is responsible for making choreographic proposals in order to support the progression of the piece.
The challenge of creating a work for students lays at the crossroad between teachings students a specific craft and asking them to assume responsibility in a professional context. The thin balance between these two polarities is what makes Sluyswacht vibrant and alive.
